LING KWANG HOME !

today was CIP with my retainee bunch of friends... TO LING KWANG HOME!.. and it will be for the next what... 3 days... it was honestly a meaningful experience... and even though im not that good with the old folks i tried my best to communicate with the old lady i was assigned to... then it really struck me esp when we helpe dthe old people in their morning excercise routine.. they were really blessed and happy in this nursing home... there was an ahma beside me shouting "ONE TWO THREE FOUR FIVE SIX SEVEN" very happily and all my friend could do was smile cos she was absolutely cute.. haha... shocking to see elder wee at the home as well when we were about to leave...

i learnt a lot today... esp how to communicate with the elderly folks.. even though im one of the best teochew speakers among my cousins.. i struggled trying to ask questions to the ahma.. but still i think i tried my best to be as friendly as possible... x)she's 83 years old and still going strong.. how i admire her and her strength... the way she did her morning excercise.. i would never imagine she'd be that old... she said she married late so she only had a husband.. no children and no kids... then i asked her curious to know if anyone ever visited her.. she said "yah alot of people come to visit me... students like you... my husband... my friends".. and she also told me that all they had at the home was beehoon or kwaytiao very sian.. haha

if she could live to a ripe old age and be so strong why cant i live my youth years well and be as strong as her?... the trip really gave me some precious moments to reflect esp when the guys were helping to decorate the place wiht hanging fishes and lanterns... kudos to max who did most of the climbing on ladders.. haha..

even though its supposed to be the most slack of all the CIP projects.. but i think its the most heart warming and fufilling one.. i cant wait to meet more residents at the home.. to learn more from them.. and gain inspiration to live life much more to the fullest...

TOMOROWS SAJC OPEN HOUSE!... im suppose to advertise for shermaine and chloe.. =)) its from 12noon to 6pm... FOR THOSE INTERESTED CAN ASK ME FOR MORE INFO.. sorry i cant be there to support you girls at the booth cos of CCA.. but i hope it all goes well yah... (pssstttt -SRJC'S a better jc!).. haha
