2009! 2008 WAS EVENTFUL..

2008... is going by in just pretty much a few hours now... and im supposed to go out with rohith ed ibrahim and shao xiong...=) im going to miss 2008... it was eventful... i learnt alot... be it hard or nice... 2008 was the year i thought i made the most friends and finally found out in my life how important friends were and what they meant to me... i found true friends and long standing best friends... i found a class that made history... at least in my level and school.. x)).. i found so many things...

WELL FIRST UP... the friends that i made that i thought became the best friends that helped me through this tough year..

CHAD-

THIS GUY... has been by far my longest and best friend in the wolrd!.. HAHA.. no im not kidding.. this guy has been friends with me since... since... primary 1!!... EONS EONS EONS AGO.. haha.. i remember i was his partner in pri 1... always always crying and using up what little tissue i had... he's become one of the funniest friends i know and one of my most trusted pals... i can tell this guy anything and with any difficult situation you can always count on him to help you out... we makaned together and pretty soon all his friends became mine... =)i wish him the best new year and im happy he got to j2 safely... DO WELL IN THE A'S BRO!

ROHITH!-

this guy i've known since sec 2... from then on he has become one hell of a friend...when i couldnt trust anyone else and i know he has my back no matter what..he has helped me think straight a lot of things... the kind of guy you can hang out with for hours and still find something retarded to talk about... DO WELL IN THE A'S NEXT YEAR!! =)

MARCUS NG-

you been a great friend to have... i got to know you a lot more in my sec4 years and have grown toward you as a friend... you were the best study partner i had.. thanks for enduring all the stupid and obvious questions i posted...you dry and retarded jokes never fail to crack me up... youre a great encourager and an even better friend...

AMOS!-

this guy has been a long time friend... i trust him with every secret i reveal to him and he probably can see through me right now... he has never failed to lighten the mood with his jokes and unintentional humour... MY BEST FRIEND IN CHURCH.. =)he has his emo moments and trying to comfort him can be a little tough... but he's a strong person at heart and knows his friends well... =)

i have to say... she was the most important person in 2008... without her.. i wouldnt have stepped it up to improve in the new term after my depressing mids... we hung out a lot and didnt want people to know... well its obvious now is it?... haha.. we shared ALOT in common.. from food to tv to movies to music to eating habits... HAHA... we just were too common... she's always been there for me no matter what and dare i say ive always been there for her... I HOPE YOU DO REALLY REALLY WELL NEXT YEAR AND REMEMBER ME WHEN YOU BECOME FAMOUS!... X))..

i know i havent been talking to you for a while now.. but having you on my junior worship team was great... you were willing and commited.. and we had a blast doing this together along with sirui and jianzhi... you were of course one of the closer friends that knew all my deep dark secrets in church.. and i could start talking to yoiu pretty easily... =)WISH YOU ALL THE BEST WHEREEVER YOU GO!

i have to say regina is one of the strongest character in a girl i had to work with in 2008... but she was in a sense a great leader that i looked up to very much... she had the respect from me... and she knew how to bring herself forward to people... she was like me BIG SISTER... guiding me through this whole year when i needed her advice most.. she set me aside in my most painful dont know what to do moments and light paths for me to go... JIAYOU IN THE A'S! =)

LAUREL!-
YOU... yes you... were probably the first girl i got to really know in class... you were friendly though kind of shy.. a person that really card for her friends... you were concerned when i emo-ed esp in mid year... you sms-ed me words of encouragement that brought me back to my feet.. though i woke up a little to late.. i still thank you for being there!

i know you must be bored by this long and emotional post... just want to take this time to especially thank MY 08' CLASS.. 1s18.. its been great having you girls as classmates.. to leave like this i'm bitter in dissapointment.. but i hope we all keep in contact and chiong for the A's =)) they were the ones that made life in SR worthwhile..

IM BACK!! =)... i know you all miss me..

IM BACK FROM SUNNY FLORIDA!!!... =)the trip to van couver and then to florida was great!!... apart from the extreme cold weather in van couver i had to take.. that almost caused my face to freeze.. the two weeks were great.. the weather in florida made me happy... INDEED THE LAND OF SUN GUNS AND ORANGES..

DAY 1
In VanCouver...(we took about 1250 photos in total, so you know im gonna cut short on the narration and let those photos do the talking x))

we flew for almost a day... TIRING STUFF... but SIA provided sufficient movies for me to drool over.. so it was great! =)

WE NEEDED DINNER.. so china town was our first trip down the cold streets of a -5 degree van couver... it was the first time my legs felt this numb while walking on the streets...

DAY 2(VAN COUVER)

A RARE SNOWFALL.. we awoke to snowfall in van couver.. at least ofr a good half an hour... =) we rushed down to catch it... those were rare said the locals.. and im glad we were there to see it! =)

then we went up to whistler on a tour... THE VIEW ON THE WAY UP WAS SPECTACULAR.. it was cold and ice everywhere... it was beautiful!

WHISTLER IS NOT FOR THE FAINT HEARTED!>... finally arriving at the mountains.. it was NEGATIVE 28 degrees up there.. and if you cant take cold you will die in this mountian... though the view was worth it all... my feet frozen upon reaching the ground... my nose almost died and my face and so frozen i found it hard to talk... IMAGINE THAT...



Look at the amount of snowboarders and skiiers... HOW CAN THEY EVER WITHSTAND THIS COLD..

DAY 3(VAN COUVER)
GAASSSS TOWN!!... this intersting town just off central in vancouver is really interesting.. a steam powered clock centered the town and the whole town full of little soveniour shops bustling with people... the steam powered clock was nice and the legend came with it of how the town came about... we went there to board on a bus to stanley park!!...

finally after an excruciatingly cold winters day in a bus without a heater we arrived at stanley to view the aquariums..



the aquarium was warm (thankfully) and the sea creatures there were fascinating... took alot of photos for this one... DOLPHINS that were lined in grey and white.. picture perfect.. ANCONDAS that look at you through a cage so hungry.. otters trying to play with its orange ball... jelly fish glowing in that fluorescent light.. sea turtles... IT WAS PLAIN BEAUTIFUL... =)

THEN it was dinner... AT THE TOP OF VANCOUVER~!!>. we went to view the night skyline of vancouver and it was great.. simply fantastic!... it was too beautiful but my camera sucked in dark conditions so it was hard to take a clear shot..

DAY 4-DAY 5(BYE VANCOUVER HELLO ORLANDO!)
ORLANDO!!... we finally arrived in orlando florida!.. and i couldnt wait for the nest four days.. it was all theme park time... DISNEY WORLD AND UNIVERSAL STUDIOS.. here i come!... auntie clara and dorea met us at the airport and back home we were just slept...

DISNEY WORLD- MAGIC KINGDOM!
it was total madness and a tiring day...we could only reach the magic kingdom by both shuttle bus and then by a boat... how convenient.. IT WAS THE BIGGEST LAND OF ALL THE LANDS IN DISNEY WORLD.. and we knew we had quite some walking to do...

ADIDAS SUNDOWN MARATHON 2009!!!... 30th may here i come!!..
the more i think about signing up for this marathon.. the more my mind says yes yes yes you should... haha.. its uncanny how on the other hand think im not fit enough to run the full 42km... but like rob always says "who says you have to run the whole way?... walk a while wont die right!"... haha...IVE DECIDED... to sign up for the sundown marathon next year after i return from the trip... i have one month more to train after my trip before school term officially starts... I REALLY WANT TO FIND OUT WHAT RUNNING A MARATHON IS LIKE...

today was a pretty good day... SLEPT TILL THE WEE HOURS OF THE MORNING... skipped breakfast for lunch... haha... as usual the sleepy kind of person... went out to bowl with bh today... and saw joanna there also... someone so late that i had to wait there like some loner... till joanna came over to say hi.. LOL... her whole family bowls for a living man... great bowlers they have there.. IM SUPER ECSTATIC TODAY.. COS I BEAT MY HIGH SCORE TO CREATE A NEW HIGH... 185 MY LATEST ACHIEVEMENT... 5 STRIKES IN A ROW AND TWO SPARES... WOOHHOO... SO PROUD OF MYSELF...!!

i think its life's simplest things that makes you happy... LIKE... plain hanging out with the closest friends and the longest friends in my life.. being my church friends... and playing ps2 the whole day... haha... i know i know.. you must be thinking im some hiong gamer... but it atcually is only annual with these bunch of guys...

hanged out with AMOS JIANMIN SIYAN SAM STEPH... at sam's house today... from 9.30 to 7pm... madness... but it was fun as usual... met siyan in the morning outside my houset bus to bishan and then train down to khatib... had a short chat on the bus and train ride... and the facts reemerged again... that we were the most disgruntled wanting freedom yf of all... =)).. THEN IT WAS PURE GAMING AND CHILLING AT SAM'S HOUSE... loads of pro evo, burnout, time spiltter fun... the laughter and joy and the adreneline rushing moments were great... and if the guys in our yf were'nt this close... i wouldnt imagine how the future yf would be like... NOT AT ALL...

went eating the BALLSY QUARTER STACKER MEAL at BK for dinner.. and you can imaine how full i am now... lol... i cant believe i actually succumbed to temptation.. haha.. but it was worth it cos it tasted mmmhhhmmm... =))... great dinner... I'M GOING RUNNING TOMOROW TO BURN ALL THAT FAT AWAY... !!!... haha...

she called me when i was training home again... she wanted to dinner with me this friday at gardens before yf... she says she wants to see me off before i head to the us... how sweet of her...

TOMOROWS BOWLING WITH BOONHAO AND CHAD... FOLLOWED BY SOME RUNNING!(5.2KM)... AND THEN GUITAR LESSONS... not forgetting planning for the disney world trip.. and packing my stuff for saturday.... NOO soo much to do..

todays a pubic holiday...and with public holiday... come family time... =) stayed at home to play monopoly with my family today.. and monopoly is better without the trade offs... then someone would seriously own.. we went for some shopping.. which kills me ususally both mentally and physically... arrghhh... but im happy i got my running shirt... and i got my nike pants i wanted.. as well as the mr messy shirt!!.. haha... you get how no life i am...

these two days have been really exhilirating but at the same time excrutiatingly tiring...

6TH DEC <3

its a special someone's birthday... yeah yeah you get it...i think... haha ...i went out for a little fish and co after picking her from her house... i didnt know what she would say or how she would react... but the fact she reacted far from what i expected is CUTE... =) HAPPY BIRTHDAY YOU!... i spent hours picking the perfect location and ambience, the gifts, the way to ask you how you felt... that day was fruitful... really fruitful... <3 WORDS CANNOT CANNOT DESCRIBE HOW I FEEL NOW... REALLY... REALLY...

when you said... "lets go watch the stars at clarke quay".. i thought it was trivial... but you told me so much more there... stuff that i didnt thought you would tell other your normal friends... i got to know another side of you i found much much more beautiful...

YOU KNOW... your voice makes me feel all warm inside.. your smile brightens even the crappiest of days... to see you cheering me on is to have the world on my side... without you it just wouldnt be right...

7TH DEC =)

i was looking forward to this for months now... and to be honest i didnt really train much... not much at all.. THE STANDARD CHARTERED SINGAPORE MARATHON 10 KM!!!!... haha... i was all hyped up and all by myself... but i knew that this was my own race to finish... i chionged the whole race... well maybe it was due to my lack of training... i started to walk past the 4 km mark... and then i walked 2km... but the rest i ran at the fastest i could go...finished and proud to say.. in a timing of 1 hour and 10 mins!!!!... haha... yaaaaaaayyyyy... MY FIRST RUNNING MEDAL... im so proud of myself...

i started out alone... but before the race... the emcee had to delay the start so he wanted us to make friends with the people around... i being the shy guy of cos just bothered trying to warm up... but this guy from england...came up to talk to me... intresting he came all the way from engalnd to run this race... JOHN TAYLOR!... then at the end line.. after the medal collection.. i saw marcus... we waited eons for max.. only to ind him 2 plus hours later... lol.... chad was there helping too but i was just plain lazy to meet him.. SORRY CHAD... ate at popeye and slept as we mrt-ed back...

YF CAMP! =)

just got back from the doulos ship with the yf group and of course from the yf camp which lasted for 5 long days... =) THIS YEARS CAMP IS REALLY A TEST OF MENTAL RESELIENCE AND YOUR ATTENTION SPAN...

it was basically lecture styled... mostly spent in the chapel and rarely spent outside experiencing the world in the form of crazy games.. which i would prefer.. cos i dont have that much attention span... but overall... it was one great camp... learnt a lot of life lessons... in situations in the real world what a christian would do... and most importantly it brought me so so much closer to God... if habits count... i would fail dramatically... because ive been guilty of skipping quiet time... i always look forward to camps because you can toss everything aside and devote it all to God...

this camp would have been super super boring... if not for the friends in the youth group i wouldnt have survived this camp... the jokes, the laughter, the secrets, the heart to heart talks, the bombing sessions... they all made the day a little brighter and made this camp all the more fun... AMOS, SI YAN, JIAN MIN, KEVIN, SAMUEL, SI RUI, PEI YI, FELICIA, MARTIN, MATT... if not for these people... YF CAMP WOULD BE ALOT LESS INTERESTING...

uncle lawrence was without doubt one of the most inspiring people in the camp... one of the lecturers who i paid the most attention to.. because i respect him so much.. how he has the will power to change 180 from a gangster to a person so God fearing... his examples are so real that his lessons are etched into my heart and it really taught me the application of it to the real world...

DOULOS... had a tour of the ship today before we came back...it was a really fun and fufilling tour... and it sort of inspired me to be a missionary for God... looking at the love the duolos ladies had for us evening YFers .... it made me feel that working in the mission feild may not be that lonely after all... to see the ship up close and first hand really made me full of emotions and thoughts...

IM TIRED.. I N-E-E-D REST... THIS YF CAMPS BEEN TIRING BUT EMOTIONALLY FUFILLING... PLEASE DONT LET THIS YF DISBAND PLEASE DONT... THE FRIENDS IVE MADE HERE WILL TOTALLY LAST A LIFETIME...

i went to sentosa yesterday with my family... =))... as usual i started off the day with a bang... cos i was late for my tuition... I THOUGHT IT WAS 11 &*%%$ !!... HAHA..yeah what a great way to start a day huh... maths... then it was pretty fun cos we went to sentosa.. and if pictures paint a thousand words then this would be a novel!!...wwoootss... took a few artistic photos of my sister.. turned out to look like some professional soccer player.. haha...i like the on emy brother took with the fence like i was playing in some court... THE SUN WAS SWELTERING HOT I TELL YOU... cycling really helps take away the heat honestly... played a little soccer and volleyball as well... AND MOST IMPORTANTLY.. LUGED... TWICE.. there was a fireworks display at vivo counting down to who knows what.. it was loud.. but beautiful... =))

the youth camp's happening tomorow... i'm sitting on the fence for this one.. im half looking forward to it.. half not looking forward to it... please dont ask me why..

went of coffee-ing with her again... and it made me think of the things she did for me... am i thinking too much... maybe she just treats everyone this way... her tornament is coming up soon and i really hopes she wins it this time.. i'll be there to support her.. or rather i promised... =)
