SRJC GRAD DAY 2010

I've officially graduated from SRJC on the 22nd of october 2010...

I have really grown into a part of this school that leaving it seems all too soon... I remb the times in j1 where we were all strangers, then in the blink of an eye we're here almost reaching the end point where the race, though long and hard, has been a blast... there has been many friends i made that i will never forget and all my life i'll keep there in my heart...though at times i may not cherish some friends, but every friend that i make in srjc, made the time i spent here all worth while... these three years have been no waste because i learnt a plethora ( a new word i learnt) of lessons and i've grown to be more mature in the things i say and the way i express myself... no doubt that without this srjc family, teachers, friends, uncle henry and even the canteen aunties, i would not have been where i am today..

On this day when i reminisce about the past while looking towards to future, i really had no regrets in sr, albeit sad moments, there were many moments to keep and remember for years to come... it was 1s18, 1s26 and 2s23 that made these three years the best there ever was... :D

Indeed, only on days like these do you feel extremely nostalgic about the times thath have passed you by in the blink of an eye and in your heart feel that you could repeat this experience all over again (without the stress of taking the a levels) you would..

I thank everyone who's been there for me through this last lap...
Mr Diva for your touching speech on grad day and being such a great ct..
Mr Ang for all that motivation and dedication and energy you bring...
Miss Zeenat for the times of laughter in class and the times you stayed back for consults..
Mr Tan for being such a sarcastic yet brilliant gp teacher...
Mr Yew for being you :)..

This is such a long and draggy blogpost but I just have to say, SRJC will always be a part of me... :) thanks for the memories!

TILL ANOTHER DAY PEOPLE.. all the way till the a's!!!!! looks like my blogs going to have a few more cob webs before i start posting again... :) KEEP SMILING !

Misery- Tyler Ward
"I am in misery there ain't nobody who can comfort me..."
:) completely how i feel a times.. plus its the new song on my mind at the moment... "your silence is slowly killing me" (p.s the rapper in the video is extremely talented just check him out)

This week has gone by in a flash and like everyone says, before you know it, the a levels are here.. i've decided to be more anti fb and blogger since it takes up so much of my time... but its hard because these are the outlets i usually turn to when i need a break.. somewhere to hang my frustrations or to check on the life of others..

I've been hearing the radio a lot recently, probably because my i pod crashed a month back and my galaxy just refuses to let me download new songs into the phone because its constantly not on idle mode.. i wonder why... and i'm starting to love listening to 987 again... shan and ross, muttons on the move, young... its great stuff

I can't wait for all this to be over honestly because what we as jc students do everyday is study and sleep study and sleep again... the mental exhaustion is overwhelming i tell you..

thanks to the dedicated teachers i have in my school i won't ever give up this long and crazy journey that is going to end int two months time.. and like a friend of mind once said... when you're in jc you can't wait for all the studying to be over.. but when you look back at it, you'll miss the great times you had with your teachers and friends...

TILL ANOTHER DAY PEOPLE, GOD BLESS AND KEEP ON SMILING

manu 3-2 ftw :)

It was results week... all i have got to say is that i have to work a lot harder if i want to make it somewhere... cos right now, its no where...i'm trying my best.. i put in tons of effort especially for a certain chemistry and all i see are the same dismal results... sometimes i just star in envy at the results of my smarter friends but i know i can't feel bitter for long because the Lord has it all planned out for me... i try to look on the positive side but this time i fall short... i think long and hard and realize the stark reality hitting me in the face.... now more than ever, i need the Lord... but more often that not i fall short of glorifying Him with horrible results like these...

When you have little interest in doing something, the things that you thought have dont will undo itself ultimately...

I had great fun at bottle tree park on family day on friday paintballing for the first time in my life.. where have you guys been if you haven't tried to paintball... it was fun shooting all the paint pellets around till you actually get hit by one... the impact initially wasn't that painful but when you get back you'll know where it hit.. bruising and marks everywhere... but it was great fun!

I'm not exactly looking forward to school this weekend... its do or die for the next two months.. wish me luck people

TILL ANOTHER DAY PEOPLE GOD BLESS AND KEEP ON SMILING!
(woooo final evaluation pass bodoh!)

I see through your flaws though they be plenty because im not chasing after your flaws, i'm chasing after you :)

ITS BEEN OFFICIALLY DECLARED THAT I'M USELESS IN STUDYING AT HOME...

Wasting time in the morning to get my new adidas shoes from while to brown and to get soaked in a rain just to get a pretty cool shirt and a bag of jacobs biscuit wasn't exactly my idea of a fantastic morning... jacobs walk of life was a failed attempt just because the weather was gloomy and reeked of go to bed rather than lets go out for a nice walk... I thought planning today was great.. Jw was fun as usual... and now that i have to face the prospect of a long day in school tomorrow... i find comfort in the knowledge that its just one out of the three school days... 8 weeks to the a levels, what am i thinking.. i've got to step it up a notch if i want to do well.. i need to have that hunger and desire.... i need to reach out and grab hold of the stars i thought i couldn't reach.. i hope this week when all the results come back to me, it'll be for the glory of God's name, i hope it'll be fine....

You know what my dear yf friends....

I just looked through my dusty old chiang mai photos and relived the memories that once gave me great joy and brought me so much closer to God... the times where we had to carry logs down a hill... where we could play soccer in a pristine field barefooted.. play checkers with rocks... bathing in ice cold water with the spouting heater and spiders for companions... birds with IQ of 122... dog sheep... the night markets with fake jerseys... BANANA PRATA!... night sharing sessions... steamboats.. eating fats that looked like squids... getting rammed by john the deacon with a trolley.. hugged by paulo... THE LOVE WE FELT... I MISS CHIANG MAI!

HELLO WORLD! Life after exams has been nothing short of good

Though i know am on the verge of getting my prelims exam scripts back probably by week i sit here anxious wanting to know how i've done, though pretty alright for maths i hope the rest of the papers will be great.. sometimes when things are not in your hands, you got to leave in the one whom you know will provide....

I like the new post promo timetable, only one long and horrendous day on the monday to come and the rest is pretty laid back.. guess it gives me more self study time and time to get back to mugging.. life has never been so tough before... its tolling everyday

i had fun this week playing soccer with my friends in a long time and scoring a goal though letting in quite a few... i wish i could be back to the secondary school days where we played soccer without having to worry about later... and hanging out with the wusses playing cs source, must admit im just can't play first person shooter games... then having dinner and catching up with rohith and ed after a long while and meeting chris on the way.. this week has been rather eventful...

I've been reading this extremely interesting book called slumdog millionaire originaly named Q and A.. its much better than the movie and the story is pretty captivating.... its a good read that tells you how fortunate we all are while the people in india in dharavi constantly live in a stereotypical whole where the outcasts and the lower classes are not given a chance to break out of this system and mold..

teachers day recently passed on wednesday and though it may be already three days past teachers day i would still like to wish all the great teachers in sr a happy teachers day!... :)

class bbq was a blast :)

MY SHOES ARE HERE! Ordered 2 pairs of shoes a few months back from asos.com and they were here on friday, must say they look great :D... Got scammed on the white one cos i thought it was leather, but still its the classy kind...

Disappointments at times tell you something dont they... that you shouldnt ever be that disappointed because its all in God's hands and never in yours... So trust in the Lord...

I've been loving the break I've been getting these few days.. the sleep that i rarely got.. the moments of rest and relaxation have made me a happy man.. now its time to focus and get back on my stride that took me to the prelims.. i've got to have that hunger and desire to do better than i did this time round..

Just the way you are- Bruno Mars
"She's so beautiful and i tell her everyday"
"Every time she ask me do i look ok? I say when i see your face there's not a thing that i would change cos you're AMAZING just the way you are"
"Cos when you smile the whole world stops and stares for a while"
This song reminds me of you :)

YOU'RE AMAZING JUST THE WAY YOU ARE..

THE PRELIMS ARE OVVVERRR! :D
Though its just a small battle on the road to the a levels, i feel accomplished to have finally finished the prelims and hopefully i wont do as badly as my mid years... when you have optimism, you have hope.. i hope

Just when i thought i could go into full fledged no hose barred party mode at least for the 4 day long weekend reality hit me that i cant party that long cos i have to think for the long haul the a levels.. darn what a joy killer.. but i make it count :)

I have to say this prelims were great in some ways and utterly depressing in others... for one, i found history to be the easiest paper of the whole prelims for the first time.. maths was managable and hopefully carelessness doesnt pull me down... the rest seemed pretty alright.. chem though was a killer for me, despite me giving it my all, i guess my all just wasnt enough... enough of all the exam talk... these two days have been great!

its something that after exams brings you... a load of your mind that you feel so free you want to party!

the night of the final exam day when everything was done and dusted... 2s23 came over to my place for a night of chilling bbq and hang out... it was great having everyone (well almost) over and we all had a blast... i find all of us being more comfortable with one another and having fun... though i dont have the pictures i can assure you we had a great one that night :)

YESTERDAY

DEEP DEEP DEEP SLEEP (12 hours to be exact) was brilliant.. and i needed it... woke up at about two and rushed over to meet amos and steph for lunch... which was great finally being able to catch up with them.. chilled out over lunch and swensons... it was great having the time to hang out with these two

I think i lost track of time then in all that sweet goodness

Rushed back home to changed and cabbed to bugis for PETRINA'S BIRTHDAY! thinking i was late but only parthi was there waiting at the mrt... we had a good night out today celebrating her birthday... we're sorry we didnt get you any present but we hope that the night was AWESOME!... i miss the times we spend as a clique, talking hours away and having fun at the same time... great jap food at iluma, great company and a talking machine that helps us order food... :)

WE HAD A CRAZY TIME
Ending off the day going crazy at the rooftop garden of illuma... what a great day with great friends :)

TILL ANOTHER DAY PEOPLE, GOD BLESS AND KEEP ON SMILING! PRAY FOR MY FINAL THEORY TEST TONIGHT THAT I DONT FLUNK IT :)

HELLO WORLD HAVEN'T BEEN BLOGGING LATELY JUSTTHOUGHTISHOULD!

If its something i've realised after so many days and weeks of intense studying and high pressure.... STUDYING IS HARD, SOMETIMES ALMOST TOO HARD

People who know me know that I'm an optimistic person and i never like to think that i can't do something i just go in there and give it my best shot... this time round for the prelims im really giving it my all despite fatigue despite the constant nagging in my brain to give up... so whatever the results i leave it up to the Lord...

I've neglected this space and its been lying here unposted for a many days.. since im taking a break from what is mainly occupying my mind and life right now, STUDYING.. i figured i would post some of my favourite songs that keep my sane in my insane life in jc at the moment...

FOR SOME REASON I'VE BEEN LISTENING TO A LOT OF RADIO and yes, a lot of muttons on the go in the evenings when i really get down to serious studying... it helps me laugh out loud it helps me get my mind off what's ahead!

The songs i've come to love are hot on the radio at the moment and they're great songs honestly!

Katy Perry- Teenage Dream
David Choi covered this, just brilliant!

King Of Anything- Sara Bareilles
You should check out the official music video, it won't play if i link it... its a great song :)

Dynamite- Taio Cruz
Great cover on a song with a great catchy tune!

Dynamite and Magic cover

I know you might think I surf youtube a lot to come up with so many videos... but you know what i just happened to look them up when i search for these songs... but youtube surfing can bring you so many covers that are better than the orginals.. all the talent on youtube

YOU HAVE TO LISTEN TO AJ RAFAEL, ALYSSA BERNAL, DAVID CHOI, TYLER WARD.... BRILLIANT TALENT ON YOUTUBE... :)

Guess i have to get back to studying fellas! I WANT A BREAK FROM THIS ROUTINE! :/ i miss the chilling times though i know that its just 3 months away from liberation... God please give me the strength!... and come to think of it, i miss bowling a lot and i miss those of my friends in the army who i haven't caught up with in a long time...

GOD BLESS AND KEEP ON SMILING!

JUST WHEN I WAS ABOUT TO START STUDYING THE COMMUNITY SHIELD HAD TO START...

For a moment i thought i was finally into the "groove of studying" it soccer dragged me into this self craved addiction.. to watch the new and improved united with chicharito in the number 14 and chris smalling in the number 12 and to look at how united dismantle each and every chelsea player apart is extremely satisfying... but the last i looked at my phone and the countdown timer I DONT HAVE TIME ANYMORE :(

8 days to prelims and 93 days to a levels someone please save me

for moments in your life like this when you want to smash your head into the wall out of desperation don't because someone else in this world has it worse off than you... today we had a great sunday school lesson and it taught me about suffering... the truth is we all haven't been through suffering at all in our lives on this blessed island... you may think you're suffering but someone out there has it way worse than you... i thought about the things i had.. a great family, an opportunity to study, a great house to live in, friends that care for me, i live everyday happily jut because i can ... we all live blessed lives its the way you look at life that makes life the way you think it is

TIME TO GET DOWN TO BUSINESS!

I LOVE LONG WEEKENDS

I LOVE THE NATIONAL DAY

AND I CAN'T WAIT FOR PAINTBALL ON FAMILY DAY! :D

God bless and keep on smiling!

AWESOME AWESOME NIGHT :)

FIRSTLY HAPPY BIRTHDAY NAT!... Hope you had a great time today friend.. even though our class had a failed surprise but we hope you liked it all... :) and it was because of you i wasted my afternoon away trying to complete labyrinth and all its crazy 10 levels... hahaha

THANKSGIVING CONCERT 2010 was the best thanksgiving concert ive attended in my 3 years in this college... i could really feel the passion in the teachers as they performed and i feel that we've got the most passionate and great teachers in sr!... mr tan with his emceeing and being different characters was extremely hilarious.. and when you see the fun side of so many of your teachers it really gets you in a great mood to cheer yourself hoarse and laugh at all the things they do on stage... I ENJOYED EVERY SINGLE MOMENT TONIGHT! :) thank you teachers for such a great thanksgiving... i hope this sr tradition never fades because every year has never been a disappointment... the great theme of oscar awards really made for a smooth performance and the ending marked a great night tonight.. :)and sitting with the crazy bunch of guys in my class really made for a great night.. the shouting the cheering and made me realize that im in such a great class that will bring me great memories when i look back in the future..

after that i had dinner with the bowlers and though all of us looked tired after thanksgiving i was glad i had the chance to meet up with this bunch of people again.. i always think about the great times in bowling training and how we still always make it a point to keep in touch.. sr bowlers ftw... its such a waste that this cca is closing down!...

TODAY WAS A GOOD DAY AND I HOPE THIS LONG WEEKEND WILL BE A GOOD ONE AS WELL.. I WANT TO DO WORK BUT MY MIND TELLS ME NOT TO... :(

studying is hard

TILL ANOTHER DAY PEOPLE GOD BLESS AND KEEP ON SMILING!
ps i'll post the thanksgiving photos as soon as its uploaded :)
